My choice as THE BEST episode of the series.

Takes all RR cliches and smashes them while still maintaining basic parameters: Nimnul being able to talk to RR at last, but OK since in fly form.  C&D crush on Gadget focus of a very risque joke ("Hands off the body"), Zipper parodying original vsn. of "The Fly." Nimnul ending up in looney bin (where he should've stayed!) raving about "those nasty rodents" in the proper "climax" to his career.  Goofy scenes like Nimnul humiliated by "vermin" Gadget when repairing the transformer.

Doctor scene: "Who said a doctor can't be SICK?".  Brief but very funny, almost unsettling -- who's the real looney here, Nimnul or the doctor?

"Where's the REST of me?" -- Ronald Reagan line from "King's Row," title of his earliest autobiography.

"Franz" and his story about the metamorphosis: a joke few kids could POSSIBLY get.

[Most maturely written episode, to be sure. Several jokes and situations which completely go over the younger children's heads. -- MP]
