2nd Illustration for 'Rangerillion': “Very well,” said Walt, “Here, have these chipmunks.” All at once the ink of the ancient Board of Drawing did flow, and there was confusion, for there emerged two forms from the glowing color and a hush was upon that place. Yet now sparks flew, and they witnessed a new creation coming to life. And with that there grew a great chattering, and The Nine did move in great anxiety, for as they drew their pens out upon the Board of Drawing, out spilled the ink and up came Chip, and he rubbed his eyes in the light. Yet not long had he stood there when Dale, himself reeling in his new existence, bumped him from behind. Cheerful were they, and much excitement they possessed, and the Will of Walt flowed over them, surrounding them and filling them. “Hiya!” they spoke in their small tongues, and The Nine did look on in amazement. Walt and The Mouse did but smile, and moved then to larger concerns.
